I have a 1975 chevy truck,3/4 ton, 350. the tranny has a DRIVE and a LOW 1 thats all, what are some good ways to burnout good

A brakestand is the best way to start. But it's bad for the tires and tranny. Hold the brake while you step down hard on the gas. Let go of the brake a little til the rear wheels start to turn. Give it more gas, but keep your left foot on the brake. Your dad will kill you, and I'll say you forced me to tell you.

Is thing 4wd? low 1 sounds like first gear in 4wd.low (4wd has 4wd hi and low. You have no 2and 3 on the prnd 3 2 1 ? (park,reverse,neutral,drive) ? A pickup is light in the rearend anyway and burning money,I mean rubber should be no problem exept for the price of rear tires

put it in drive, and then hold brakes as gently as you can while keeping the truck stopped. give it gas until the tires start spinning, then give it more gas, less brake. if you have a strong tranny like a TH350 or TH400, it shouldn't be a problem for it. it's just the same as towing a load.

Smear peanut butter all over the rear tires! Don't do the trans dump where you full throttle the motor and drop it in drive, or it will be all over soon. Put it in drive, half throttle with the brakes on, if you can't smoke the tires doing that, look for something with a very big motor.

Tire shine on the rear tires would help with the brakestand technique.
