will the ds be better than the psp because i heard that now with the new flashcard that came out for the ds that the ds will be able to do the same things as the psp.I know the ds has touch screen and and great games but if ds would be able to do the same things as a psp then could it become the dominant handheld game system?
Now the ds will have a browser, play music, view photos, watch videos and movies, better wi-fi connection, organizer ,download files from your computer and download games from other systems just as the psp.

The DS and PSP aren't really comparable. They have decided to specialize in very different markets. It all depends on what you're looking for. In some ways, the DS is already better than the PSP. In other ways, the DS will never be better than the PSP.
The DS will never match the PSP's graphics and multimedia capabilities. Because it has two screens instead of one, the DS's video quality will never be able to cost-effectively match that of the PSP.
On the other hand, the PSP doesn't have the microphone and touch screen. The limitations on the input system means that the PSP will never reach the level of interactivity that the DS can.
So, different markets and different uses. (I have both.) People who want to interact more with their game console will prefer the DS. People who want to be entertained more by their game console will prefer the PSP. Neither one will be dominant. And, there's definitely room for both. With game machines that small, there is just not enough room to be everything to everybody right now. And, when the time comes that things are so small that everything can fit in the palm of our hands, both systems will be equally obsolete.

Honestly, I used to love Nintendo, but they have seriously lost some of my respect. I don't know if you are familiar with the turbo graphics handheld system. It came out maybe only a year or two after the original gameboy. It had far better games and the screen actually had a light that stayed on. You could set it up to play it on your tv, years ahead of its competitors. But, it took Nintendo at least 10 years before they made a handheld game system that had this same feature. It's all about making money for Nintendo and because they were greedy they will continue to lose in every game market. Sony is a much better company, especially when it comes to multimedia..sure nintendo will eventually make a hand held game system as good as PSP, but i mean when?

I already have the original DS and I still think it's better then the psp. And yes, i've used a PSP before. But the battery is lousy, camera is useless because I already have a digital one! The games aren't very good, but the Nintendo DS, it's great. it's fun, the touch screen doesn't even break easily unless you try to scratch it on purpose. You can chat with people a mile away and more. And the new one will be even better,

It relies upon on how previous you're. as an occasion, the PSP has song, internet, video games, and an excellent purchase of that stuff, yet slightly new child does not want any of that. ok properly according to risk they could yet they does not be attentive to a thank you to apply it wisely. it is precisely what occurred to my brother together with his PS3. So my factor is, somebody it is 6-12 could want a DS and somebody's it is 14 and up could want a PSP. i'm 11 so if your my age i'm no longer saying your no longer clever. i'm merely saying it is kinda confusing to have a PSP in case you're no longer sufficiently previous.
