Number One: Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D. Major- J.S. Bach
Featured in the library scene in the movie Se7en, remember the scene when Morgan Freeman walks into the library and exchanges dialogue with the guard there then the guard says you want culture, here here is some culture... then he plays that magnificant music ah! Its also Known as Air if you are trying to find it, number 5 on the Se7en soundtrack

Number Two: When You Love Someone- Bryan Adams
Its on the Hope Floats Soundtrack, which is all good but this song has to be my favorite love song of all time The Words Are Just So True, Bryan Adams is awesome and it has a wonderful almost celtic background music to it, extremely excellent.

Number Three: A Better Word For Love- Alabama
I often listen to this song, atleast twice a week because I find it profoundly comforting, because sometimes there just isn't a better word and holding someone you love dearly is the best you can do... very very excellent...

Number Four: The theme from Cast Away- Composed by Alan Silvestri This is a seven and a half minute song which starts with strings, goes into orchestra, then softly enters a piano melody, also towards the end of it you hear the ocean and the repeating melody If you have seen the movie it might seem familar to you because it is played throughout the movie! It has a lovely way of portraying true peace and solemnity but still expressing the sadness that every human goes through during the course of their life. Its a tune of heavenly peace in my opinion and should have been given way more credit to the creative genius of Alan Silvestri.

Number Five: September Of My Years- Frank Sinatra
This song is a slow song. It is a well sung song with good instrumentals. But what distinguishes itself to me as the listener is its connection to the paradox that life brings us. The feeling of sometimes it being sooo long and sometimes being so short... the opening lines "one day you turn around and its summer, the next day you turn around and its fall, and the springs and the winters of a lifetime, whatever happened to them all?" This song makes you stop and think about where you are in life, where you have been, and where you are going... fabulous indeed..., hope you enjoy my picks and even if you haven't heard of them... check em out sometime KK Good Luck!

1. Imagine - John Lennon - A song of hope and looking at what the world would be like if we cared for one another and were less materialistic

2. Nights In White Satin - Moody Blues - Just a beautiful tune - and it comes from what is generally believed to be the first progressive rock album

3. Like A Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan - Lyrically, somewhat mystifying if you really listen to the words, but its been named as the greatest rock and roll song more than once

4. We Gotta Get Out Of This Place - The Animals - This was everyone's theme song when we were in college back during the mid-'60's

5. I Can't Get You Out Of My Mind - The Collegiates - Ok, so not that many people have heard of this record since it was only a regional hit in West Virginia back during the late '60's - it only hit something like No. 52 on the national charts - so why is it on this list? Sentiment. The group's lead singer, Larry Ascough was a friend of mine. And, its a great song about lost love.

Do I really have to stop at 5?

Alone by Heart. The best power ballet ever.

In Love With A View by Mojave 3. It mimics Led Zepplin's Starway to Heaven somewhat musically, but has much better lyrics. It's very haunting where you think the singer from England is a sad country boy that has the hots for a girl that's more interested in the city.

Firehead by Devics This song defines genres. It's a blues, punk, opera like song that make's Christina Agulera's Hurt sound like amature night at the local bar. This song has both power and emotion.

Go Dead by Red Delicious. There is lots of pleading emotion in this song.

Spreading the Disease by Queensryche. It's about corruption and the cause, with some very though provocing lyrics.

My facorite songs are these:
1. I write sins not tragedies, by Panic at the Disco
2. Untitled, by Simple Plan
3. Shutup, by Simple plan
4. lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking all her clothes off, by Panic at the Disco
5. Sexy Back, By justin Timberlake

these are all present songs that I love! I'm only 14 so 80's and 90's and old stuff is out of the question for me. Also, the kind of music that I usually listen to is Alternative music. I like fall out boy, my chemical romance, panic at the disco, simple plan, 3 doors down, 3 days grace, ACDC, and some Fergie. I loves lots of music, I am a total music girl, but that's just a few of my faves. I actually do have 900 songs on my ipod. lol.

Tough question!!!

1) "Truly, Madly, Deeply" by Savage Garden. This is the ultimate love song. Every time I hear it I think of my husband whom I love truly, madly and deeply.

2)"Lights" by Journey. I am a San Francisco native and when I was in the USMC at Motor Transport School in North Carolina almost every morning I would wake up to that song playing at the men's barracks next door. There was a guy from San Francisco there who apparently missed home too!

3)"Let's Get it On" by Marvin Gaye. On of the best songs ever to slow dance to or make love to.

4)"Rock you like a Hurricane" by The Scorpions. When I split up with my first husband this was the song I always listened to on my way to go out partying. It always got me pumped up and in a good mood.

5) "Just to be Close to You" by the Commodores. It came out when I was with my first boyfriend back in 1976 when I was 14.
