The fact that you took the time to ask means you are actually considering it and just want to be sure! I say if he's got everything but the looks, you can get over that and maybe hint him in the right direction! Physical traits can always be modified! Psychological traits can't. So unless he's an agressive woman beater on top of being little less than attractive, you should give it a try!

You can like people and they can be nice & fun - but - that doesn't necessarily mean you are attracted to them. You might become more attracted over time, however. Some average looking people can absolutely be sexy bc of other traits. Don't date anyone out of pity or thinking if you "try hard enough" you can really have the hots for them.
There is something to be said for chemistry - and I think that's the magic of the best relationships - that unknown chemistry that keeps things going in times when it's difficult. Trust your gut instincts.

How would you like to see this question answered if it were being asked with you as the subject? You certainly have no obligation to sell yourself short for a relationship no matter the trait we are talking about but would a handsome guy who lies all the time be better? To me a knock is a knock. You have to find the right person for you in all the things that matter to you. When you think about it, didn't you answer your own question by how you peg him?

What a shallow question. Looks shouldn't matter. I know that 9 out of 10 times they do but that's just sad. I would say yes. Go for him! He may just turn out to be your prince. Good luck

Do you REALLY like him? If you do, looks shouldn't matter. For me, personally, looks didn't matter so much as neatness. I've liked people who weren't that great-looking but dressed decently and cared about their health/ personal hygiene. Obviously, looks are a plus but shouldn't make or break your decision on whether to "go for him", as you put it.

Honestly when i first met my boyfriend i thought he was ugly to but then i got to know him and he is really a great guy i became really attracted to him

What oes it makes any sense?you "like"this guy,but you call him ugly?what other people call him ugly.....it dosent matter if you like the guy and he likes you go with him dont use him....yae he's nice so what your waiting for i bet he likes you too.....to get to the point i say yes and like people who wont be called "ugly"or just dont mind the haters ya get me?

Only if the ugliness doesn't bother you. It shouldn't matter what others think. Could you ever be physically attracted to him - hug/kiss him, etc? If not, you shouldn't get involved because that would only lead him on.
