ok while putting on my new flowmaster muffler i sprung a leak where the header connects to a Y pipe on the right side. My friend said it was a donut gasket that needed to be replaced. Will this cost a lot to fix????

No. A donut gasket won't be that much.
Here's a tip:
Let the exhaust cool all the way down. Spray the nuts on the studs with a lubricant such as WD-40 and let it sit for an hour.
These nuts are rusted down most of the time. It is easy to brake a stud off and they are a three star pain to replace.

if it is a donut a good muffler shop should get you underway in less than an hour.
