Because I have seen some quotes on here that don't please me. For an example I see a lot of people who are like "I hate Good Charlotte. They suck." Wel they shouldn't becuase they don't KNOW Good Charlotte, They've never met them or anything so they can't say anything.
I /have/ actually met them a month ago at a concert and they are all extremely nice and funnny people. JJust becuase you hate their music doesn't mean you should hate them.
Does anyone one else agree/disagree with me? Has anyone else met them? Please reply.

i dont hate them, i just think they sold out so they could have more 12 year old girls insisting they like "punk music" listen to them, and spend their daddys money on the CDs

The way I see it, you asked why do people hate 'Good Charlotte', not "why people hate the guys in Good Charlotte'. I could tell you I hate Britney Spears, Shakira, all the raeggeton stuff, Eminem... I could go on and on -eat your heart out, Energizer Bunny, btw, I hate It too-.
The thing is, Good Charlotte as a band, Shakira as a supposed rock singer... they both suck. That's the correct answer, of course, depending on your preferences.
As individuals, I respect the fact they may work even harder than any rock band, both GC may work harder than Greenday, or Shakira the same than Tori Amos.
But you did ask for our hate towards the Image, not the individuals.

Good Charlotte is the name of the band, therefore their name is directly associated with their music. It is okay to hate Good Charlotte because this does not imply that you hate the members of the band, just their music. If I said I hated the members of the band, well that's a different story.

Anyway, when most people say 'they suck' and 'I hate Good Charlotte' they mean their music, I'm almost positive. So don't take it personally just because you "met them person". Kay.
