I have eight months yet before that milestone. I guess I will know when I get there.

To me, 40 possibly meant the beginning of 'middle age', whatever that means. Did I change -- yes. We are always changing, day by day. I am a totally different person from even when I was 35. We're constantly evolving. Being 40 makes me feel a little more mature, I suppose, in dog years, but not old. I feel like the next ten years are going to be my best (it's been a bit slow so far.)

People say that forty is the new thirty, and that might be true, but remember that age is just a number. Someone near and dear to me turned 40 recently and she said that she expected to get really depressed about "becoming" old, but once she turned forty she saw that it wasn't any different than being 39 and 364 days old. People I know in their 50's and above say that life takes on a whole new meaning once you've lived for half a century. So, to conclude, 40 is just a stepping stone to becoming 50.

Well I dreaded it for a whole year before it happened, I kept thinking my world was coming to an end-deep depression, I started to have some menopause signs then I really got upset. But when it finally came it didn't bother me all that much, I certainly didn't feel different or look different, and now I just turned 50 and I still feel the same as I did at 40.(wonder how I'll feel at 60?)

40 wasn't too big of a deal to me...I really think I was too busy to notice it. 30 hit me like a ton of bricks. Now 50 looms on the horizon.

Just before 40 I had a lot of changes, so 40 wasn't much of an impact.

No big deal. Walked into a hotel room full of black balloons. Pretty funny and had a good time.

At 40 your health is generally OK and you're much wiser, more experienced, and hopefully more financially secure than you were at 30.

In two weeks I will.
So far, I'm facing it okay but we'll see when the time comes.
