I hate to say this but some people have such a low mentality that they don't know how to be anything except rude. They must not like questions and answers and they have no respect for the site. They are not serious nor do they even have any respect for themselves leave alone anyone else. Anyone who is under level 3 should be kicked off the site with their first rude comment -harsh judgment or foul language. All I can say is try to appreciate all those who actually care!. if you do not like an answer click on the right below their answer where the thumb points down to show that you find their answer to be distastful.

I don't see where you've asked questions in the pet category, you must have read some though. Let me try to explain, people feel pretty strongly about the welfare of animals. Not to the PETA extreme with everyone though. And when people are asking breeding questions some of us KNOW they shouldn't be breeding a dog without necessary information (which by the way is EXTENSIVE- not just the act of breeding) Thousands of dogs DIE every day in shelters, even in homes due to being unwanted or neglected, animal people feel that this number is being added to by more breeding- especially by people who aren't informed.
I don't think it is rudeness exactly, but the intention is a sense of URGENCY and WARNING. Not being rude though.

People are dumb, have problems and take it out on people. Simple as that. Yet sometimes they don't mean to be. But I don't know, it's hard to tell if someone is doing it on purpose or not.
And believe it or not, some people don't even say sorry when they are clearly at fault! And I'm not just talking about the "Pet section" either.

because the internet is a safe place to let out frustrations. people have to be on their best behavior in the 'real' world or they'd get fired, or lose friends. the internet is safe and anonymous to vent and belittle. I think it's better to be rude on the internet than to kick the dog, know what I mean?

It could be because typing cannot convey emotions very well like speach can. I have had several people be nice and still come across rude.

Because there are too many stupid people. It is one thing to be clueless and go through life, but when you are clueless and effect the lives of innocent living things....you may need a kick in the BUTT!!!

cause the computer age has removed the basic item of "customer service and courtesy".
its too easy today for people to sit behind a box and point fingers, point blame and call others names.
