It was in my pocket in my jeans and it went through the laundry... I've heard of people just dropping their phones, getting it out right away, letting it dry off and it works again, but mine went through the entire laundry cycle.

The phone will light up and show a charging message when i plug it in, but it never charges, it won't turn on, and when I get calls, it goes directly to my voicemail. There is water in the screen, but the screen works (when my phone is charging). I have a Sprint, if that matters.

I tried using a hairdryer to dry it... helped a bit. My sister's friend put hers in the oven and that worked, but i'm scared to try.

HELP!

Best bet is to have a professonal take a look at it. Is it still under warranty? IF not, do you know of any cellphone repair center? A certified cellphone technician should be able to help.

You should try the oven 120-145 F, not higher; and make sure to remove the battery (they explode when exposed to heat). Most cases, if it's not done right away after the indicent, not much hope is expected.

Watch out! too much heat will actually ruin the cell phone for good. All you can do is take it apart and let it dry out on it's own and then try it.

Dig a hole in the back yard and bury it. It's dead.
