Why is it that I never think I look good in pictures compared to my image in a mirror? Is it simple we can't modify our perception in a picture of ourselves, or just simply about angles, lighting, etc...

The fact of the matter is there are some people who are not photogenic, but look pretty or handsome in person. They simply do not photograph well.. You very well might be one of these people. For example, I have two sons equally handsome in person, but one photographs like an angel (it is unreal how fantastic his pictures would turn out). My other son who is cute, adorable and handsome in person, oh, his photographs are awful! He never takes a good picture. I can't figure out what the problem is! In person he gorgeous, but his pictures are always duds!

Part of it is the force of personality that can make people who are average looking into someone striking. Another is charisma. These are things that are impressed upon people who meet you face to face and they cannot be translated into pictures.
The twinkle or light of life in your eyes. The absolute belief that you can do what you're talking of doing and that its right to do so. These are things that people meeting you in person see and feel but aren't captured with your image in a picture.

I got the same thing!!!

My theory: I'm a lively person! A big part of my beauty is my entire smile from when I start turning the corner of my lips to the moment I display a full smile with flirtatious eyes! You can't get all that in a picture! It only captures part of the serie of actions that make you beautiful!

Hope this makes sense to you!
