I'm learning Engish and having a quiestion about a subtle expression.

what's the difference between 'I will see you soon' and ' I will be seeing you soon' I want to know this from native speaker's point of view. thanks

i will see u soon is better english slang kinda thing


if you use the other one people might be able to tell you are foreign but it is still right!

I live in New Orleans, Louisiana USA I wouldn't see much difference between these expressions in english. I guess "I will see you soon", sounds less formal.

Even less formal would be "I'll see you soon".

How about, "I am looking forward to our next meeting."? That would be more formal, more business-like.

"I'll check you later." I guess this would be street slang.

"Tomorrow, same time, same place, ok?" would be street talk again.

I always believe that "I will be seeing you soon" is a definate statement or plan. I will happen!

'I will see you soon' means that you will meet up eventually it is assumed.
