I saw Sir Leslie Colin Patterson on a late show last night. Is he gay?

I thought Les Patterson was just another person that is played by the same person that plays Dame Edna. I could be going mad though.
From what I can remember of footage I have seen of him he does appear that way.He has been on many a show where it seems like that. There have even been some people who have moved away because of the way he acts.

I'm not entirely sure since he has never revealed it, but I guess it is possible until proven otherwise. Having said that, I think he is one of Australias treassured icons and therefore it shouldn't matter either way.
