The Democratic National Committee (DNC) posted a picture of a soldier on its website, indicating that it was an American GI. Trouble is, he is a Canadien soldier. Now, I know this soldier is probably serving Canada honorably, but here are my questions:
How does the DNC make a mistake like this? Do they really know what an American GI looks like? Have they ever seen an American service man or woman in uniform? Is this more disrespect for the troops from the Democrats as illustrated by John Kerry's statements?

WOW!! What is this? Hatred spilling from the keyboards of you peace loving Democrats. Shall we all hold candles and sing "Give Peace A Chance"? All this because I pointed out a gross error by your heroes at the DNC. Shouldn't your hatred be directed toward John Kerry, who called fellow soldiers murderers and accused them of atrocities that were totally unfounded? Shouldn't it be directed toward John Murtha, who called soldiers in Iraq murderers before all the facts were in? Shouldn't your hatred be directed toward Dick Durbin, who compared our soldiers to Nazis? Don't look now, but your self-righteous hypocricy is showing!

They say they care about the troops, just not enough to get a photo of a REAL American GI. To the guy who lost his brother, we are ALL very sorry for your loss. No one said ANYTHING bad about the troops. May his soul rest in peace.
To the one who's calling the questioner a city slicker. Are you an idiot? You're writing as if you are southern......Most southerners are conservative you dolt. NY and LA are both blue...I would call those big cities. Wouldn't you?

It bothers me alot less to see a simple innocent mistake, such as the one you described, as opposed to very real life altering purposeful "mistakes" carried out without regard to the loss of human life.
Let's talk hypocrisy: Republicans claim to be PRO-LIFE, all the while sending or supporting the cause that at last count has sent 600,000 human beings to their death. That amount is equivalent to just over 120,000 lives lost every year and approximately 10,000 every month since the war began. Doesn't sound pro-life to me!
I think that what Republicans missed out on in this past election has been the opportunity to understand the real message from the AMERICAN PUBLIC. The American public, has declared that we are not willing to hand over our sons and daughters to be slaughtered for a cause that has yet to be defined. Goals have not been met, objectives were not set or acheived.
Elected officials are not above accountability. Democratic officials nor Republican. Its not a simple matter to stay the course, when no course has been defined. At this point few people know just exactly what course that is, personally, i doubt our own President could adequately explain this course to anyone.
Call me a liberal, call me a bleeding heart, just don't call me to send my children into one of YOUR hellish wars! Just in case you think I know nothing of war, there are 2 Army generals in my family, 5 dead uncles from Korea, a father in law who was a prisoner of war in France during WWII, and a brother nearly killed in Vietnam. War is not new. Acountability however is the flavor of the day!

Democrats don't know what a GI looks like mainly because body bags are not transparent.
One has to ask whether Bush has ever seen a serviceman as well, considering that he bunked off military service. To run away from miltary service and then send others to their deaths under very spurious circumstances is hardly the action of a mensch.

Check it out. There are many many more veterans and combat veterans in the Democratic side of the isle in the House AND Senate...than on the republican. Maybe this is why Dems tend to be less jingoistic. Tell this to Murtha. Tell this is former congressman John Glenn, or George McGovern ( B-24 pilot ) .

My brother died in Iraq and was a Democrat. I find your question completely insensitive and a slap in the face of my brother who served to keep you free. I'm sure you're quesiton is quite reflective of your character. I'd give anything to have my brother back, and there are people like you spouting off all of your crap. God will judge you one day. I promise.

Oh well, they made a mistake just like Fox News made the mistake a couple months ago by saying "Mark Foley (D-FL)"
Of course they know what an American GI looks like just as much as any republican does. Don't be rediculous.
