I am a christian and I love the Lord and I have to learn that I am human and will fail. Today I was really overwhelmed at work and was very mean, snappy, and irritable to God and I said bad words and was very childish and stuck up my middle finger to the sky because today was so rough, does a person get delivered from trial right away or does it take a lifetime. I am being treated for bi-polar and I dont have a lot of patience and get mad when unexpected things finacially happen and things like that. How do you learn patience besides going thorugh trials and what are good ways to just relax, I expect everything to be prefect and life is not only God is. Is is true the fruits of the spirit found in Galations 5 come with age and maturity? I am serving God but I struggle with these things is this normal?

Yes your very normal but you do owe God an apology. He understands and He will forgive you. Try this; for every trial you go through, remind yourself that this is a life lesson in patience. Everytime you get stuck in traffic, it's a lesson in patience. Every time your finances get screwed up it's a lesson in patience. Just reminding yourself of that will help relax you and calm you. Also, look closely at what is going on around you. Are you sure it's not an unexpected answer to your prayers? For example, last year I was pregnant and was worried about our car, an older model Nissan. One week, my alternator went out and 2 days later (I kid you not) my radiator cracked and THEN a wheel bearing went out! I wound up spending over $700 in repairs but when I really thought about it, I realized that #1- Each time the car had an issue I was not in a situation where I would be stranded, my biggest fear in my pregnant state. and #2- I'd been praying that any major financial issues be resolved while my husband and I were both working and able to afford it and not after the baby was born when it could financially devastate us. I realized that my trials were no more than answered prayers! Put it all in perspective then go get yourself some music therapy and blast out Audio Adrenaline's "Good Life". Best of luck sweety, hang in there! Life on earth is nothing more than boot camp for the afterlife.
I've watched my dreams all fade away
And blister in the sun
Everything I've ever had is unraveled and undone
I've set upon a worthless stack
Of my ambitious plans
And the people that I've loved the most
Have turned their backs and ran
CHORUS:
This is the good life
I've lost everything
I could ever want
And ever dream of
This is the good life
I found everything
I could ever need
Here in Your arms
Loneliness has left me searching
For someone to love
Poverty has changed my view
Of what true riches are
Sorrow's opened up my eyes
To see what real joy is
Pain has been the catalyst
To my heart's happiness
CHORUS
What good would it be
If you had everything
But you wouldn't have
The only thing you need
CHORUS

I think it sounds like you are learning patience by taking the time to stop and think about your actions after you have calmed down. True, you had the impatient, angry moment, but SO many people have those moments and then just pretend they never happened, and don't even bother to think about why it was wrong or how they can change it. It's a very important step to take the time to consider your actions and the consequences they have. You're on the right track, keep it up. And keep seeing your doctor about your bi-polar and make sure you're getting the treatment you need. Good luck :)

Life will not be perfect. We are imperfect, fallible human beings, not God. We face trials and hardships everyday to learn, because that is what life is. A big learning experience. There wiil be days when you want to scream the f-word at the top of your lungs with reckless abandon. Praying and meditating helps to calm onself down, especially at these trying times. Also, try working out, reading a book, listening to claming music, or watching your favorite T.V. show or movie. There will be times when our faith in God is shaken. Just remember, not only is God on your side but your family and friends are too. Let them help you and support you and you will get through these diificult times. And remember, life goes on and wiil get better.

This is normal it's called temptation. That is how Satan trys to get to you. The way to deal with it is to find something you can do for a few minuetes when things happen and you get in these "moods". Like, go for a brisk walk up and down a hall even, or jsut hide in a room and take some deep breaths. Anything that you find calms you. Good luck and I hope this helps you.

Just remember...GOD is the one who knows you the best. He knows your faults and your attributes. You obviously know what you did was wrong and maybe next time you are feeling that way, you will remember to pray to him instead of flipping him off. He loves you and will help you and will be there for you. All you have to do is ask HIM for help and believ me...he helps!! Start praying every night before you sleep, it is a peaceful and usually private time to talk to HIM. I pray all the time throughout the day:) Be good to yourself and don't beat yourself up over this a minute longer...just handle it differently next time:) Good luck and GOD bless you...

Stop worrying about it so much. Seriously. You're asking us for advice on how to relax, but you already know how to do that. The fact that you're on here begging for answers is getting in the way of that.
