I assume you're talking about romance novels? If your level of expectation from a kiss is that it compare to the experience and feelings you get from reading about a kiss in a romance novel, then I would expect that you will be sorely disappointed in every kiss you receive. In the beautiful moment of a kiss, consider it purely in the moment of the kiss itself and do not try to compare it to the euphoria you feel while reading about it. Romance novels set up these moments to be perfect. The perfect place, the perfect time, the perfect setting, the perfect handsome charming guy, the perfect timing, and the perfect climax. In real life, perfect is extremely unlikely. Let yourself feel euphoric in a real life moment of imperfection, rather then a fantasy moment of perfection. There is more to sense and experience, to spark the imagination, and best of all you have some small amount of control over the outcome.
