Vampires exist in pretty much every culture.
They must be invited into a house.
They cannot cross running water.
Some can and some cannot be burned by sunlight.
Count Chocula doesn't really annoy them that much, but they really hate Buffy. Sorry, that's only five. ;)

Well there are alot of diff. these ppl say some ppl say that if you get bit by one you turn into one some say that they bite you then they have to have you drink there blood to turn into one. Going by just the ones i like i would say (1)you have to get bit and then drink there blood. (2)Normally only a boy bites a girl and a girl bite a boy because it's a very sexual thing. (3)If the first vampires dies they all die (4) they can't come into your house in less you invite them (5) You can kill them by the stake in the heart but you can also kill them by cutting the head off (6) they are as strong as 10 humans (7) they can take form as a bat, mist, or wolfs (8) they can change the way they look to look like a diff. human.......That's all i can think of although these may or may not be "facts" it all depends on if they are real i don't think they are

They can have unprotected sex because they can't catch anything and they can't fertilize a women's egg. That is a myth, they don't sleep in coffins. You can be bit by a Vampire but unless they make you drink their blood you can't be sired. Supposedly they don't have souls, guilt or any emotions except finding their next kill. They can't get fat they can't get pimples. Sorry can't think of anything more.

the vampire legend originated in india
suicides supposedly came back as vampires
could not cross running water (rivers, streams)
redheads were considered vampires
had to be dead 3 days before returning as a vampire
did not cast reflections
had mental control over certain animals and people of lower intelligence
had to sleep in the soil they were buried in
could only be killed by direct sunlight, a stake thru the heart or decapitation
they had NO sex drive (they're dead, remember?)
