I’m getting the Nintendo wii the ps3 costs to much at launch 499 for the bare bones one and 599 for the loaded one and you know you going to end up getting games and accessories with it so its going to come out to 800 Easley to much for a system. the wii is only 250. i want my hands on that system at launch.

I'm going to get a PS3. The $599 label seems pricey at first, but keep in mind that you're getting a built in blu-ray disc player as well. I've seen blu-ray players sold for over $1000. With the processing power and blu-ray support, the games will be amazing 2 or 3 years down the road.
The Wii doesn't look like it will support the kind of games that I like to play. I've heard that Squaresoft is going back to Nintendo in which case I will buy a Wii...but until then, I'm going with the PS3. I probably won't be able to buy one until March or April though.

xbox 360 and wii are the only way to go sony once again is overhyped and over priced wii is different and will be fun to play games a new way there wont even be enough difference between the 360 and BS3 to support the extra expence of the BS3

Wii. Cheap price tag, Zelda, and the new control scheme all kick serious bahookie. And the Blu-ray thing is hyped to no end. Lets all remember Betamax, UMD, Memorystick, MiniDisc and all the other failed Sony formats. I really think that HD-DVD is going to win just because it will likely be the cheapest DVD format to license. Sony likes to keep things proprietary and charge it up. Just my opinion though.

Neither. DS lite for me. But if I had to choose one of them for free I would choose wii. Awesome.
