It sounds a little awkward as written, but it's not bad. This is how I would say it:
"I am trying to reach Mr. Smith. I would really appreciate if you could give me his cell phone number and other contact info."

how about: "i have been trying unsuccessfully to talk to Mr. Smith. i would really appreciate it if you could give me his cell phone number or any other contact information."
