Is correct it shouldnt had last more than 3 weeks, but then again, did you get an x-ray? you hurt your neck flexors, you could be still in spasms or somethint else might be going on. See a Dr. get that checked again, and try maybe getting a massage to release the tension on your neck.

7 years ago I've been involved in a car wreck and even since suffered with severe on and off facial and jaw pain. I've tried almost everything western medicine had to offer and had visited countless of specialist, had done ct scans, and therapies but to no avail. The doctors I have been to had persisted that there wasn't anything wrong with me and that almost drove me crazy as I was going through hell from this condition. According to all my symptoms I was diagnosed by a holistic doctor as having TMJ and he had recommended this book to me. After following the recommendation in the book for several weeks, it had changed my life. I got immediate relief after following the unique set of exercises in the book and after 2 weeks the jaw and face pain had completely gone. I only wish I would have ordered this program years ago. It would have saved me a lot of pain and anguish.

If there continues to be discomfort, then at the beginning you should evaluate getting an MRI just to confirm there is not any nerve compression, which isn't visable on an trouble-free xray. If there is not any nerve harm and this is all quite muscle spasm, then attempt actual therapy or perhaps acupuncture.

A simple whiplash injury should have settled down in about 3 weeks(usual time frame for soft tissue healing). You probably have a disc problem. You need an MRI of your cervical spine.

See this site for help from a guy who got an award from Pres. Ronald Reagan for his chiropractic research to create another more advanced version of it that works much, much better. Check it out. It helped me greatly-- see my story on site.

It is not normal for it to hurt that long. What does your chiropractor say?
