The pilgrims, being a highly religious group, felt it only honorable of them to share their harvest with the group of people they felt "God" had led to help the new community in their time of need. The Pilgrims were truly grateful to the Indians for their help and were friends with them. However, they also wanted to make the natives more accepting of Christianity by showing them the Christian virtue of gratitude.

The Indians helped the Pilgrims during the planting season, showing them how to plant some of the crops, such as corn.

because we were stupid if we knew then what we know now we would of let them starve!!!!!
