Hey I have question my engagement ring has a platnium setting and it rubs against the 14kt yellow gold wedding band.. It looks like the Platnium is tarnish sorta.. Is there a problem with having these 2 rub together???

Platinum sometimes will tarnish just like any other metal. It's not the two rubbing together, it probably just needs to be cleaned.

Gold is so much softer than platnium, the platnium ringis removing gold from your gold ring. I would say you have a problem witn cash flowing off your gold ring everyday, in 10 to 20 years the gold one will be very thin anorexic if you will.

If you can, call the jewelry company and talk to the owner...tell the owner your concerns...and ask if this is normal and what they can do to make you happy.

You have a right to be happy....so tell them!

If it's real platinum and real gold there shouldn't be a problem.
