i think from a romantic point of view its eccentric but fine.
from a social point of view, be prepared for people to give the couple a hard time,
especially if the older person has kids
or if both have family and friends that are judgemental, it may be hard to find family and friends that feel comfortable.
there are issues of what happens when people get older, have health problems, and maybe give up the spirit.
but love conqueres all, if the love is strong.
