I just restored my computer last week and noticed a small amount of compressed old files. I couldn't determine what they were and now I'm worried that they could have been important. Every thing seems to be running just fine but I'm wondering if I need to do a system restore again. Thanks!

You're fine. Nothing to worry about at all. If you have rebooted and not noticed any issues with your PC you're good to go.

Apart from the chance you may regret deleting an old file that might have come in handy, no there is no risk of problems. Your PC is obviously set to compress (and thus save space) files which have not been accessed for a period of time.
