It prints a test page ok but I cant scan photos etc, so i can upload them onto the pc, an error message keeps saying to check the usb cable, check the power lead, restart the pc etc, done this even reinstalled software. Its driving me nuts!!

Had & still have the same problem with the P3150 model.
Install/Reinstall does not help.
Lexmark are no help!

Two suggestions.
1. Uninstall the software and then reinstall it and see if that helps.
2. Visit the Lexmark site and see if there is anything in the FAQ's or Support sections on that particular model # regarding the issue you are realizing.

Hmmm....once you connected the USB cable did windows say found new hardware. Did you install the driver first then the Lexmark product or Lexmark product first then let windows find the drivers.

i had exactly the same problem.in the end i telephoned the helpline uk 02073652496 and went through the whole process with an adviser.eventually the problem was solved.you will need your printers serial number.good luck
