Depends on the person......some people can memorize the Bible or Pi to 1500 places.....
It varies greatly from person to person, although the amount can be increased through practice. Like any muscle, the brain needs exercise...

Well everyone is different, Some people can remember everything way back to age 2. People like that their is no limit.
But sad to say people like me.Don't remember to much in my past. Just little things. There is a limit for me anyway. My mind can't store alot of stuff. I have to write everything down. Sorry if this was not much help. Maybe something was,who knows? We are not all created equal.

remmembering is called capacity to have it in mind. they say this ability depends on the area in a brain , brain is having lot of folds and equal brain size will not have equal number of folds.that means brain cannot be equated quantitatively.and for the same person also the folds will not be same for ever. that means there is always scope for improvement.so it is not a fixed thing and so there is no limit as of now .

there's really not limit to knowledge
the brain is not like a computer's hard drive, which has a specific ammount
but some things are easier to remember than others, which is an explanation to why we sometimes forget numbers more often than names
