I would much rather have a human teacher because they can confort you and make jokes and if you had a robot teacher, they wouldn't understand the lives of children and not understand where their coming from. Like when I was in 5th grade, my teacher told us about when she was a kid, she worked real hard on a project and on the day it was due forgot it. So from now on she gives one day grace to people who forget projects!

A computer could handle some of the teaching, say like delivering a lecture online from a human and then facilitating the testing. A human teacher is great if that person is a GOOD teacher and communicates well. Otherwise, I might vote for using the computer to deliver education developed by humans!

For technology, math, English classes, I'd prefer a computer. For philosophy, psychology, science classes, I'd prefer a human teacher. The former I don't get confused as much or make anywhere nearly as many mistakes when I read directions and follow them. The latter, I want to listen to the lectures, watch the labs, experience things such as class conversations, all that.

I would prefer a human person, they are more able to define your abilities and the way you are able to learn than a computer. A computer only has knowledge it has been programmed. A human besides having their learned knowledge also knows how to judge a person's abilities with a human heart instead of a microchip. Which would you prefer?

It's really hard for me to imagine a computer as a real teacher. Computers can help you practice skills, but I don't really think they can TEACH. Humans are just so much more flexible. They can see problems more easily and adapt to numerous learning styles at once.

It really depends what I'm trying to learn. If it's something where I can just absorb the information and don't have to ask questions, a computer (or book) is fine. If it's something I know nothing about or would take weeks to learn a human is obviously more adaptable.

Human because there is better interaction. While computers may have good programs to answer questions, there is no substitute for the human brain - the computer is only as good as it's programmer anyway.
