According to Joanna Martine Woolfolk author of "The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need" "Taurus finds Libra a warm, romantic, vibrant partner. Libra was born to charm and titillate. Steady Taurus balances Libra's indecisiveness. Money may be a problem, for Libra does not share Taurus's reverential attitude toward a dollar, but both tend to be acquisitive and like to collect beautiful things. Both signs are ruled by Venus and have sensual natures, but each expresses this quality differently. In time Libra's fickleness and casual air toward love and drive Taurus wild; and Libra will certainly resent Taurus's possessiveness. This romantic may not last long.

You are a Libra, Your Lover is a Taurus
This is a great match because both of you are ruled by gentle Venus. You and your lover are highly diplomatic, refined, and enjoy the finer things in life. You both love cultural events, new restaurants, and -- believe it or not -- shopping. Libra and Taurus enjoy beautiful objects, environments and clothing, so there is much common ground here. Taurus will appreciate your attractive appearance and won't hassle you about the money you spend on yourself.
The difficulties you may have will come from Taurus' sometimes obstinate behavior. As a Libra, you are talented with flexibility and compromise, but Taurus have none of those instincts. If you want to change your Taurus' mind, you have to get in early, before he or she has made a final decision. After that, forget it. This is maddening to Libra; you cannot understand such refusal to change one's mind.
Air sign Libras love to talk, but Taurus are taciturn, preferring to take time alone to think and read. This may leave you feeling lonely and left out. But you have so many friends, if your Taurus lover is having his or her private time, you might simply pick up the phone and dial one up. If this starts happening a lot, however, you are likely to wonder what the point is of being together at all.
In bed, earth sign Taurus takes his or her time, savoring every moment, something you will adore. Taurus' voice is particularly beautiful, both soothing and stimulating at the same time (Taurus rules the throat). Listening to your lover talk never fails to turn you on. Your lover will thrill to the tender, light touch of your hands from the very beginning. Your Taurus lover is deeply sexual and lusty, so your arousal will be swift in coming.
This union can work if you love your Taurus with your whole heart and are prepared to promise your complete fidelity. Taurus can give you a secure life with all the material possessions and loyalty you crave, plus some very spicy sex as well. Give this one all you've got!

Libra With Taurus: compatibility = 7 /10
Venus, the love goddess, rules both these and it does shine on the two lovebirds, that is, until one of them steps out of line. Then the feathers will fly. However there are common interests, and a meeting of the mind and body, making this a very good marital combination. As boyfriends and girlfriends these two get along well, but tend to be a tad bit possessive. This is the biggest thing to be careful of, tendencies will be there to test the limits of the relationships, probing to see what can be gotten away with. Their ruling planet Venus intrinsically joins these two signs. They appreciate beauty and the finer things of life. A large bank account will be needed for these two to appease their desire for luxury. Wealthy couples under this zodiac sign combination will have pure bliss, however poorer couples will be very unhappy. The success of this relationship will require Libra's sense of diplomacy and Taurus's patience. Libra an air sign loves to roam and Taurus an earth sign loves to sit and smell the roses. With understanding it could be a harmonic relationship.
Love & Blessings

LOVE
When Taurus and Libra come together, it may seem at first that they are worlds apart! If they dig deep enough, they may discover that both signs share a common ground - a love of the arts and poetry. Both signs enjoy going to the movies and listening to their favorite CD’s and Taurus is always up for introducing Libra to something new. When Taurus’ stubborn streak starts to show, Libra’s balance is the perfect match to smooth things over. It may be slow starting, but this relationship has real potential.
FRIENDS
Wow! Can you say shopping buddies? Both Taurus and Libra love beauty, especially when they can wear it! They'll probably enjoy going to concerts and movies together, and definitely to the mall. They'll also be the duo you call when you need fashion advice or help redecorating your room. Libra can teach Taurus to see all sides of a question before making a decision and Taurus can help Libra make decisions more quickly.

Cardinal Airy Venus meets Fixed Earthy Venus and the encounter is an odd one. Since Venus rules on both sides of the equation, there is potential, yet Libra the Scales and Taurus the Bull are very different creatures. With common ground in a love of beauty and a disinclination for conflict, you find the Bull fascinating at first, a totally different species. However, the Bull is a creature of routine, where you love change and excitement, so it may not be long before the placid Bull tries to put the vigorous Scales in a secure compartment, one to which you are unsuited. You love attention and interaction, not limitation.
It is the glory of your Sign that you like to consider things, weigh them up, discuss them with your loved one, or indeed with anyone passing. The Bull may quickly tire of this constant need to discuss everything from the colour of the bedspread to the way that biscuits are arranged on the plate.
While Taurus loves beauty, earthy Taurus also enjoys straightforward situations and yes-or-no answers. This will be less than satisfying for the airy Scales who loves the drama and even the agony of indecision. "Let's do that because it looks nice" from the Bull could be a sober end to what may have been an exciting debate for you.
In the bedroom, you will fire on all cylinders at first, for you both love the art of seduction and enjoy a little gentle persuasion. However, your delight in the confectioneries of love may soon clash with the Bull's preference for bread-and-butter pudding.
Generally, the Bull is not inclined towards causes or matters of justice, unless other influences prevail in the chart. Thus your very own Bull may find your interests in this area puzzling and, in the end, a waste of time and energy. If your bullish mate cannot abide your strong opinions, there will be clashes with the fixed attitudes of this stubborn beast. You can find common ground in the arts, as you are both creatures of taste. Equally, work issues or shared financial interests may bring you together. Overall, this is not an easy match. If you work on accepting differences, the combination of Air and Earth is advantageous. If don't harmonize, then Scales must look further afield while Bull waits patiently for the next cab off the rank.

Libra & Taurus
When Taurus and Libra come together in a love affair, it can be the unification of two halves of a whole. These two Signs are thought of as being karmically linked. They're both looking for security in a relationship and they share a love of art, poetry and culture. This relationship may start slowly as, on the surface, they might have few common interests. However, once they understand one another they may learn they have much more in common than was first apparent.
Taurus and Libra both have a love for the arts. They appreciate fine dining and theater, collecting art and music. Pleasure -- physical, aesthetic -- is a premium for these two Signs. They both love to woo and be wooed; courtship is a necessary part of any romantic relationship for them, and since they both have this need, they fit well together. Taurus appreciates Libra's charm; if stubborn Taurus doesn't get their way, diplomatic Libra is able to smooth things over and keep the peace. Libra appreciates the luxuries that sensual Taurus provides them. They also have much to teach one another: Libra can help Taurus see the different sides of a situation, and Taurus can help Libra overcome their notorious indecision.
Both Taurus and Libra are ruled by the Planet Venus (Love and Money). These partners share a love of beauty, luxury, love and romance. Libra in particular is keen on balance; both partners have charming personalities and desire harmony in their personal relationships. Venus's influence can create problems as well, however; these two Signs can both tend toward laziness and snobbery, Taurus based on possessions and Libra based on intellect.
Taurus is an Earth Sign and Libra is an Air Sign. Taurus gets through life relying on their innate practicality, while Libra relies on intellectual exploration. Taurus asks, ""How will this help me achieve my goals in life?"" Libra, on the other hand, focuses on intellectual stimuli, whether it's practical or not. Conflicts can arise in this relationship if Taurus seems too possessive or Libra seems too flirtatious and social. Sometimes they just don't quite understand where the other is coming from. If they want theirs to be a long-lasting relationship, they must learn to accept that their views of the world are different in tone and focus.
Taurus is a Fixed Sign and Libra is a Cardinal Sign. In general in this relationship, Libra initiates it and Taurus keeps it going. A Fixed Sign won't budge, and Libra needs to understand the Bull's stubborn tendency. With some gentle persuasion, anything is possible -- and there is no Sign more gifted at gentle, subtle persuasion and charm than Libra. On the other hand, Libra's indecision may irritate direct, to-the-point Taurus. As long as Taurus tones down the tendency to declare that their way is the only acceptable way to do or see something, Libra can accept Taurus's decisions.
What's the best aspect of the Taurus-Libra relationship? Their shared love of pleasure, beauty and culture. Aesthetics are integral to both partners, and their similar tastes and loves make theirs a relationship of great romance and harmony.

Well I looked up in my astrology book...
People with a taurus sign are said to be patient, loving, warm-hearted, loyal, gentle and artisitc. But they can also be jealous, possesive, greedy and self-indulgent. They love stability, routine, fine food and good linen. But they hate cheating and change!
Answering your question on if taureans and librans get along...
Yes they do! Since venus rules both of your signs, it gives you a sense of harmony. But since both of you like the finer things in life, you guys might have money problems to fullfill your desires for luxury. Whether this relationship succeeds or not, will depend on your sense of diplomacy and his sense of patience. He will have to allow you to continue on socializing without being jealous, and you will have to be happy with stay-at-home dates, eating belgian chocolates and cuddling. Noy much of a sacrifice, eh ;)
Hope I helped and good luck with your relationship!
P.S. Remember that not everyone is exactly like their sun sign, so instead of consulting the stars to see if your relationship will work out, rely on your senses, and spend time with him finding out if your personalities match :D

i woudln't read too much into this astrology..he is going to be his own unique person regardless of which month he was born..the descriptions of the personality traits are very vague so that it seems that it relates to anyone...you can look into it..but don't refuse to date someone just because of their sign..that could be a mistake
