We / the President should have sent twice as many troops to Iraq in the beginning. The need for and the requirements of the troops was vastly under estimated.

If I had a victory plan I would have run for Congress.

The number of troops in Iraq does fluctuate in accordance to what the generals believe they need. For example, there were 115000 in 2004, 160000 in 2005 and now there's about 140000. The idea that the number of troops has not increased and/or decreased upon demand is erroneous.

Too late. Had he done that to begin with, there would have been a chance for the objective (whatever is it) to have been achieved.

Yes, the election was a referendum on the Iraqi war. I'm not sure how to define "victory" over there. Iraqis defend themselves? Overall stability in the area? No more sectarian violence?

we are already at conflict with Iraq congress gave him the right back in 2003. The president can't declare conflict yet he can deliver troops everywhere he needs to he's the commander of the defense force the really project congress can do is reduce off funding.

I think it's time to pull out. The Iraqis are like the 35 year old guy living in his parents basement: As long as mommy and daddy are there, I can do whatever I want. If we even have a chance at victory, the plan will have to involve pulling troops out and not sending more. Personally, I say we pull them all out now.

It depends no what the objective is. If he wants to pull out, then no, if he wants a stable Iraq, then yes, or at least till the is a stable secuirty force over there.
