I am 18 weeks pregnant now, and I just went pee... when I wiped there was a little bit of pink blood... then I wiped again and it was like gone (still traces, but barely anything)... there was also none in my underwear, and no pain when urinating, and no sex in about a month... anyone else have this?

It's not placenta previa... they just did an ultrasound and alpha fetal protein test and ruled out spina bifida, downs, and placenta previa. Baby was great. Just think I held my urine for too long... I did not want to get up... I waited about 45 minutes... I cleaned the house today for about 6 hours straight... thinking I may have popped a blood vessel. On call OB said that if there is no cramping it was just from over workin myself today. I can feel him kicking around now too. =P

I've done the same thing from over working. As long as he doesn't seem to be in distress the on call OB is probably right. But, if you "feel" something is wrong. Or, notice decreased movement definately go to the ER!

BTW, I learned with the first one to lay on my left side. Usually before drinking a glass of OJ, chocolate milk, or coke (point is it should be something sugary) and the movements will pick back up.

This is my third pregnancy and I had the same thing on and off for two or three weeks. Mine was around 12 weeks. Every once in a while I would wipe and find light pink dicharge. I had an ultrasound and everything was fine. I am 36 1/2 weeks and all is well. During pregnancy there are so many changes in the body...one major change is the amount of blood that circulates through the body. I would just continue to let your doc or midwife know if you have any more spotting/discharge. God bless~

Go to the doctors!!! It's better to be safe then sorry! You can't rule out preeclampsia unless you're tested for it. They will take your blood pressure and if it's high they'll test your urine for protein. Other signs of preeclampsia are sudden swelling out of no where, seeing spots, pain on the right side of your back, pain under your right breast and/or in your rib area. Also keep in mind during pregnancy your eyes change a little bit and this could also be the cause of why you're seeing spots. But they don't recommend you going to the eye doctor until after you've had your baby because your eye shape changes during pregnancy and then usually changes back afterwards. Good Luck

Spotting can happen and even be normal. Go ahead and let your OB know, but I don't think there is anything to worry about. Just keep an eye out for cramping and more bleeding, but I'm sure you're fine.

Spotting is something that needs to be checked, regardless of how often it occurs. Spotting can be the first indication of placenta previa, or some other problem with how the placenta is attached to the uterine wall.

On the flip side of that coin, it may be nothing, but I would get it checked. Spotting at all during pregnancy (with an exception of implantation bleeding) warrants a visit to your OB.

Sweetie..I am sure you are just scared to death by this but it is really common. Call your doc tomorrow to just play it safe but if you aren't having any cramping with it, I would venture to say it is normal. I spotted with both my girls and was told it happens and is normal. Don't panic...get some rest. However, if you ARE having cramping along with the spotting, go to the ER or call your doc tonight....don't wait around till tomorrow. GL

Its probably nothing but you need to call your doctor in the morning and tell him/or her. Until then try and take it easy -stay off your feet as much as passable , no lifting and not alot of stairs. So really just relax and put those feet up for the night. I,m sure i,m just being a mom but I always believe -why not be safe!

Sometimes that will happen. That has happened to me with one of my pregnancies and that also happened to my friend just recently when she was 6 months. Everything was fine with both of us. We only bled that once. YOu can tell your doctor about it, just to be on the safe side, but you should be ok.

Don't worry, get rest and call the doctor just to ease your mind tomorrow.
