Hello everyone. The problem I am having is the connection to my car battery. The car won't start (nothing - central locks, lights, etc) but when I jiggle around the battery it reconnects and I am good to go. I have this problem periodically so I had a friend help me disconnect the cables, clean the area and then tighten everything back on which helped for a while. But the problem came back.
I tried tightening the bolts but what "helps" is the angle at which the cables coming off the battery are at. I'm not sure what the cabes are cables are called but it is near a box labeled FUSE. Sorry I can't be more specific but I appreciate any advice. Thank you.

you need to take the cables off the battery, clean the post with a wire brush or scrape good with pocket knife, then the inside of the cable scrape too :)

You may need to replace the terminal connectors. If the posts look clean and brushing both the connectors and the terminals with steel wool has not provided a good connection they can be purchased or installed rather inexpensively and with very little automotive repair knowledge. Another possibility may be the chords attached to the terminal connectors, in which case you may want to have a shop look at it.

common sense tells me that if youhave to hold the cable at an angle to get a connection then either the cable itself is bad or the connection where you have to hold move it around is bad. If possible just replace the cable...shouldn't be an expensive or difficult repair.

replace intire cable. when get air inside them it causes oxidation of the copper the cable is made of, when you move the cable it breaks just enough of it loose to reastablish continuity. then the cable goes bad again. change the cable and make sure its connected tightly with the proper terminals and clamps and no breaks in the insulation.

The terminal pole inside the battery is broken. Get a new battery.
