A metaphor about what?
A metaphor just uses a visual picture of something else to convey your meaning.
For instance, when I have a bad depressing day, I could use a computer metaphor and say: "I think my mental hard drive has a virus, I need to delete some people from my life."

Or you could be even simpler,
My day was a train wreck.
