Happiness

Courage is the innate knowing that we are fully equipped to sustain or obtain happiness (ward off suffering, pain, fear). If our happiness should disappear, only then would we question the fallibility of our own self-preservation. So to answer your question…happiness would disappear first and faster followed by an introspective deliberation on courage (i.e. self-doubt).

However, they would return in the opposite fashion. For even if the present situation was one of despair—braced with courage in our ability to improve the present bleak condition—we could alter our present unhappy state to one of fulfillment based solely on that future promise.

I think happiness disappears faster, because you can still have courage no matter what you're feeling.

Well Courage come from facing your fears, and Happiness come form know who you are and what you are doing here on this earth. Have you ever toll a lie? If you have then you have broken the law of God. If there is a God. Then there is punishment for braking His law. The Word say that punishment is Hell. Do you have the courage to face that or do you need to seek a Savior ( Jesus)

In my opinion, which is based I believe on some fact, The word Happiness is related to Happenings, current events.
On the other hand, Joy, Contentment, inner-peace and YES COURAGE are enduring inner qualities as opposed to happiness which is fleeting.

Courage.

I can't really explain why. It just seems like happiness is the result of courage. And courage can be compared to a shooting star. It comes but fades just as fast.
