Bravery. Usually in Civil War Fighting, people just stand in a line and start shooting at each other. The cowards who retreated are the losers, and those who stayed win.

Legarthy is also another one. In the Civil War, people usually spend 5% of their time fighting, and the rest of the 95% staying and resting back at camp

I think one of the key concerns was taxes. During this time, the South would grow cotton and tobacco. Then the crops were sold to the north at low prices, then were processed into textiles or dried and cut to make chewing or smoking tobacco. When the finished products were resold to the south the prices were often inflated. The south argued that if they sold the products to other countries they would make a better profit. this became an argument as the north knew it would be bad for them and business. Thus, the U.S. government in all its wisdom issued protective tariffs that would tax the south for selling the crops outside the U.S. so this became a big concern.

Division of the union. The South sai they could secede if they wanted-that was their right. The union said they couldn't do that, so Abraham lincoln decided to bring them back. This issue was even more important than history.
