While I would like the series to be a contest, there is no chance the poms can win the ashes back again.
*we have home ground advantage- this means the crowd support and the pitches prepared the way that will best suit our players.
* the poms could not even beat the primeminsters eleven and are struggleing against the nsw teams, put simply they are not in form
* they have to many top profile players stuggling to be fit.
that is why they will not beat them, whats more if anyone out there wants to have a profitable bet, put your money on ponting as player of the series and to run scorer quinella, you will make a fortune.

The chances of England winning the Ashes Series 2006 are very remote.

England were not lucky last time. They had a good group of in form players with a better team spirit and plans to win.
Today, they have lost some key peices (Vaughn, and the huge loss of their best bowler, Simon Jones)
They are out of form too.
Australia have the better side on paper, they have the better form, they have home field advantage.
It will be a miracle if England can make the series interesting.

If players like Flintoff can fire, then yes they have a chance. Aussies will be keen for revenge though, I think they will win.

Sure.
Do you want to buy a bridge? I have one for sale; national icon, little use, good for at least another 50 years.
