I hope you arent asking this question because you are going to cut yourself but people use anything from knives and broken glass to pieces of plastic.

Anything can be used to cut themselves. I think the reason they do it is cause they don't love themselves and want to inflict self-harm and just want some loving attention. They probably have been psychologically and emotionally hurt so deeply. The only thing that can save them is love.

Don't go there!!
People cut themselves because life is hurting so much they desire physical pain instead of emotional pain. Please seek help from your doctor or a counselor. Antidepressants and counseling will help you much more in the long run than hurting yourself.
Once you get addicted to cutting it is very difficult to stop. You wil need professional help to break the habit. Do yourself the favor and get the help first.

razor blades, knives, glass, anything with a sharp edge to it really. The question remains though, why do you want to think about that sort of self harm question? Don't do anythng silly my friend, there is nothing in your life that time and hard work won't fix no matter how dire you think your sitution is.

Kitchen knives, pocket knives, gardening tools, razor blades, metal nails, human nails, broken coke cans, wires, teeth, you name it.
And if you cut yourself I will personally track you down and drag you over to anybody who can help you. Cutting isn't a good thing.

you should never cut yourself just to fit in with the crowd...people who cut themselves have problems that need medical attention.

Anything sharp. I also find it strange that many people seem to assume this is question is aimed at self harm. Where do they get this opinion from? Its a question....geeeesssss...
