I have a wireless laptop and it works fine. same as if you're wired to the ground in order to connect to the internet.

Messenger (and most other applications) will work just fine on a wireless laptop (I guess it depends on what you mean by wireless). If you are talking about Wi-Fi (802.11) you should have no problems at all. If you are talking about some cell-phone technology (like GPRS, EDGE, 3G, etc...) you might have an issue with thoughput -- but even then it should work fine for simple text messaging (I have used it myself with no dificulties).

Chekc to make sure that the "wireless" service that you are using is not blocking certain web site...

good luck

yes, all internet based messengers should work with your wireless network, if your internet is up, then your messenger should work as well, check to see that you aren't trying to use the proxy settings of the messenger, also check that the password is correct!
