For me, it was definitely college. I came from a big city but went to a small private high school with absolutely no diversity whatsoever; we wore uniforms so our clothes were all alike. College gave me a chance to get an education in the real world, one that I needed very badly. For example, to see boys in class was a major shock!

after HS, after college, and after marriage - I am a divorced woman in my early 40's - I have never been happier. I got my graduate degree a few years ago - I am financially secure, semi - single, more mature, I know who I am and what I want - I really enjoyed my 30's too - just wait it's not old trust me!!!!
If the options are just the two - I say I had more fun in HS - less responsibilities. My parents really cut back after my Sophomore year, had to get a job - I absolutely did not want to move back into my parents home after college, even though I could have. I had to get my own place, and that when the trouble began. Thank God I'm alive and not on drugs (lol). That is a bit too much freedom for a young woman. String of f'd up room mates and boyfriends. String of jobs until I realized that I need one of those in order to pay my rent... lol
HS definitely more fun and the best years of my life.

I'm in high school right now, and so of course I'm going to say high school.
I love my school- the people, the diversity, the environment (mind you, most people would say it's a bit "ghetto", lol), and I just love it. I would much rather go to my school than any other.
As for in general, I think high school is a better time because it prepares you for college. And of course, there's people who don't go to college. Therefore, their education is basically all high school.
I like the high school years because its when you realize who you are and at the end, you realize how much you've changed since freshman year.

Definetly college!
For starters in college, you don't have to take the classes you don't want to. You make your own schedule - if you don't want to deal with English the first semester or want History after lunch instead of before lunch, or you want Mr. Likes to Lecture and discuss as your teacher vs Ms. Expects you to know everything, as your teacher, you get to pick.
Also if you need to be absent for whatever reason, there's no explaining it to anyone or a note from your mom.

I would have to say college because:
1. exposure to diverse people, I came from a small town
2. Living on my own for the first time
3. variety of class offerings
4. I like the anonymity
