and she copies everything i do ,its like shes trying to be me! i cant take it anymore! she has commented that she thinks im beautiful and perfect...when i confront her about the copying she just denys it. what do i do??!

I had a girl do that to me. Only I hardly knew her and she told everyone I was her "best friend".

I ditched the ***** so she would have to find someone new to copy.

You should hurry up before she decides to go after the guys that you like.

That is what happened to me.

I don't know how old you are now, but it goes without saying that in friendships/relationships, there is always one person with a stronger personality; 1 who has the most influence over the other, better style, better jokes, etc.

That being said, yes it can be "annoying" (been there and done that), but if you KNOW this is really your friend, take it as a COMPLIMENT that she looks up to you in this way. When you have the stronger persona, you will never know what it is like to want to be like someone who, in your eyes has "IT". If you were to end the friendship over this or lash out at her publicly, it would most likely crush her. Because, she doesn't think she is doing anything wrong.

Just try in a loving way to explain to her, that she needs to focus more on being an individual; maybe even give her some pointers and encourage her in that way. Because it is obvious, even if you're the same age, she looks up to YOU. : )

Good Luck!

Perhaps you are being alittle hard o your friend...If you are are friends you must have alot of simularities after all we tend to hang out with people who think and act like us...dont we, why would you want to hang out with someone had absoluetly nothing in common with.

I remember back in highschool my crew of friends and I had our own lauguage of little slang terms we knew each other so well we could finish each others sentences and its still like that today 16 years later.

Perhaps your friend thinks you are pretty, smart and cool, she just admires you and wants to be liked by you you should tell her you feeling and urge her to be herself but dont diss her cause she admires you isnt it better to be liked

My two daughters are close and shae the same birthday although they are 8 years apart 1 being 15 and the other 7, my seven year old thinks the world of my 15 year old and wants to do everything she does, although this gets on my 15 year olds nerves she wouldnt have it any other way her own little mini me, The bond between girlfriends is also a sister hood you should learn to embrace it and pick your friend up when she falls encourage her to love herself and be herself.

If you feel that your friend is trying to be you, it is flattering at first, but it can get out of hand! Just watch your back if you think she is copying you too much! watch yourself, your things and definetly your man! Continue to be the very best friend that you can be to her without letting her know that you are watching her.

You don't want to hurt her feelings because she might have a serious self-esteem problem. Suggest to her things that you think would look nice on her.( Be truthful) Look at things that are different from your taste, but look good on her. Help her realize that she is a beautiful person too!! Don't give up on her unless it starts to get out of hand. True friends are forever!!! Good Luck!

I've been there, Be very careful the so called best friend who i've known and grew up with for over 20 yrs, (melissa) had nothing but hate for me deep down inside and actually tried to ruin my life. Thank god i realized it after deciding to spend some time apart from her.Once i wasn't out of the friendship/once my judgement wasn't so cloudy i was able to see the truth that she loved me to death, she admired me, that she wanted to be like me so bad and had planned to ruin my life.
I suggest that you cut her off while things are still in control. ALways remember you don't have to 2nd guess yourself if you feel a certain way then, go with your gut so you don't have to regret not following your gut in the future like many of us are on here we wish we can turn back the hand of time to save of from pain/hurt etc.
PS. I think you should distance yourself from her some. don't do everything with her.
Good Luck.

start maybe being a littl wird, but only around her. then she will copy u or think it is wierd and stop. if she doesn't stop, give her a taste of her own medicine if u know what i mean. start coppying her, but once again, only around her. then maybe she will feel like she is cool enough for U to be coppying her and she might stop. then u can stop and take ur own medicine and just b u. if she still doesn't stop, confront ur guidence counsoler, and ask her/him to talk to ur friend. then she might get the picture.

She admires you and yes it will bother anyone, but she has to find herself, so as her friend you should help her do it, pay her compliments on her hair and how she dresses tell her what looks good on her and what does not, if you are as beautiful as she says she is being shadowed by your good looks help her to find a look of her own.

How un-coolio is that. Who would want to be like someone else. I think I'm gonna change my name to Pink. That would be perfect.
