Don't know but it just shows you what a good manager can do for an ailing team. O'neil came in and hasn't brought that many new players and done wonders!

There is some rubbish written above!
I think Villa will realistically finish around 6th to 8th position this season but only if we stay clear of major injuries. The January transfer window will give Martin O Neal the opportunity to bolster the squad, but I suspect his major business will be done in the summer.
Even so after last season under O' Leary this is a bonus to Villa fans who until Martin O Neal took over could only have looked forward to a relegation dog fight. Then with Randolph Lerner taking control of the club from Deadly Doug Ellis OBE, it seems like Christmas came early this year.
If we can sneak a European place and get the players Martin O Neal wants in the summer, just watch us next season. This a club on the up and going places.

Aston Villa will end up on 8th Position. And Bolton will get a Champions LEague spot and Arsenal will win the League, the LEague Cup, the Carling cup and the Champions LEague against Celtic 3-2

personally think a Uefa Cup spot would be good for Villa this year Liverpool Arsenal man utd and Chelsea top 4 Again just can see all 4 teams picking up and taking over everyone else with (unfortunatly) Manure winning with liverpool taking 3rd. Liverpool to Win the Europen CL

UEFA cup will be it, or perhaps the 4th place. O'Neil has done a great job but he needs money to add to his team. This is where Lerner comes through with the money for Villa fans. So far so good but they could use reinforcements

mid table and they'll stay there. o'neil is a great manager but he is now starting to try and pick up his old celtic players again. next season villa will most likely be playing 3-5-2 with 11 big strong players battleing it out with whoever they are playing. good enough in scotland but not good enough for the premier

Aston Villa will go as far as they want as long as they do`nt loose faith in what they want to achieve, I would`nt worry to much about chelski winning. hope you manage to keep warm, look`s like my Grand-daughter has come back from Canada just in time.
