I have a liquid damaged psp. I am also within the warranty time of one year after my purchase. How do they know when I bought it???? But I dont understand, like if they only cover problems that occur naturally without you, or if they cover damage you caused. If they only cover natural problems why would they have a repair section.I cant find a local electronic repair place. I dont want to just discard it.

It has visible damage sometimes with the pixels. Are my chances hopeless or might they do repairs?

For A PSP Damage, You Don't Go For A Repair Place (there's barely any sony-approved places, actually, i think there's now none), You Should Drop Sony A Line (1)..

Sony Actually Knows When You Purchased Your System When, well, You Purchased It..
I Believe The Retail Store That Sold You It Has To Report To Sony You Bought One This Month..
When You Register Your PlayStation At US.PlayStation.Com, It Asks When You Purchased It, And They Know What Month/Year You Got It..

But Anyways, Just Tell Them Your Problem, And You Should Send It To Them And Get It Back Repaired For Free, Since It's Under Warranty, Unless Otherwise, You'll Have To Pay A Fee..

U dont have to tell them you spilt liquid on it, just tell it stopped workin, it may have been dropped but your not sure. As long as you have warranty, u can send it back to them for repair/replacement.
