My last period started on 10/17. My husband and I have had sex almost every other day from day 9 through day 27. My periods are normally exactly 3 weeks apart. Would it bee too soon to take a pregnancy test today?
I have felt a bit nasueous but no vomiting for about 3 days now.

I'd wait until your period is late... if for nothing else than to save yourself the heartache of a BFN GL to ya

Taking a pregnancy test before the first day of your missed period is pretty inaccurate. By your calculations, I am guessing that your period is due 11/15 which is 2 days away. Even then it can still show up negative if you haven't developed the amount of hormone needed yet for the test to show a positive reading. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I did a test when I was 3 days late and it was negative. Then I did another test when I was a week late and it was positive. Also, usually any nausea won't set in until you are at least 6 weeks pregnant which is 6 weeks from the first day of your last period so it would be at least another couple of weeks before you'd feel sick. Hang in there! I know you must be anxious to know. The good thing about pregnancy tests is that you may get a false negative if testing too early but if it says positive, then you are definitely pregnant, you can't have a false positive reading. Good luck!

hey. My last period was oct 17th aswell. I was supposed to get my period yesterday too and i havnt got it yet. For the past week i have been having aching period pain in my lower back and thighs too, and tiny twinges of sickness. Yesterday i felt abit nauseous too and same as today. It shouldnt be too early to take a test, it should come up positive if u have missed your period. Im going to take a test later aswell. Goodluck hun, fingers crossed that you are too. Remember to take folic acid aswell as soon as you know if not already.
Oh and by the way. Nausea doesnt just kick in at 6weeks.. it can be earlier for some. My last pregnancy, i was vomiting from the day after i missed my period, all day everyday until about 20weeks. It was horrible. Xx goodluck

Normally, a pregnancy test will show up positive, if you are pregnant, after 5 days of a missed period. So, if you think you may be wait until you are atleast 5 days late, so you have no false hopes... this is what I have done in the past :)
Good luck
and God Bless!

If your periods are normally 3 weeks apart, then it might be late enough into conception for you to tell. However, I'd wait until the 17th (it's just this Friday) and check then. I waited til the day I was due and turned up positive. :) Good luck!

You can have a pregnancy test 7 days after the last day you had sex

I think you should wait a couple more days. When i tested last year my peroid was due on the 11th of november and i got a positive on the 8th. so possibly taking one on wenesday but normally positives wont come till after you've missed your peroid, thats when you normally have enough HcG in your system to test positive

hi i would try a test if i were you. even if you have a 28day cycle it would end tomorrow,. no?
i would try a first response early hpt though as they can detect the hcg earlier than most. i have pretty much the same timing except my LMP started on oct. 19. I have not tried a test yet but will do it within the next couple of days.

the nausea is a pretty good sign though,
good luck...

You could, but I would wait about another week or so to get a correct result. You could even wait two more weeks. Its up to you. Good luck!!!
