Who said this: "Once you've got Baghdad, it's not clear what you do with it. It's not clear what kind of government you would put in place of the one that's currently there now. How much credibility is that government going to have if it's set up by the United States military when it's there? How long does the United States military have to stay to protect the people that sign on for that government, and what happens to it once we leave?" Given the admitted lack a coherent strategy and plan for a post-Saddam Iraq, shouldn't SOMEONE in the administration have figured this out before we bombed the crap out of the place?

It's utterly mind boggling that there was no plan in place for the post invasion of Iraq, but it blatantly obvious that's indeed what occurred. It's almost as if the Bush administration did this intentionally. And now were seeing the results of this administrations ineptness. How sad.

I agree with your assesment.

The US has a great plan for the war. But they had little plan for the peace. Iraq has 22 million people, and the USA thought a occupation force of 145,000 would do the trick. Not.

Whether you support the war or not, the USA needs a better plan for the peace. Iraq needs to step up, they have a 300,000 man army!

Absolutely.
I don't think even the most avid supporter will try and convince anyone that this war was well planned.
It is obvious that no one anticipated the violence and opposition we have encountered.
