What would be the best spark plugs to put in a 1989 Ford Thunderbird with the 3.8? i have NGK in it now.

NGK is a good plug along with autolite, I personally like autolite over champion in a chevy, I don't know about a Ford but in my 454 chevelle I can feel the difference in acceleration using the autolite plugs over the champion.

If you have the boost turned up use a champion RN9YC (The new champion part number is 415), It a cooler temperature range, set the gap at .025. I' been racing turbochargered car for over 10 years. Many of the other plugs will burn the electrodes and bounce around on the piston. = major engine damages
I often run boost pressures to 30+ pounds and have never had a plug fail.
Ps, Your car is intercooled you should turn the boost up!! You should be good with the stock fuel system to 15 lbs boost pressure.
ANY OF THE PLATINUM TIP PLUGS WILL BLOW THE PLATINIUM TIPS OFF CAUSING DAMAGE, OH SURE THEY ARE ARE OK AT 7-9 POUNTS OF BOOST BUT AFTER THAT THE ARE A BIG MISTAKE!

NGK are good plugs, i also like bosch platinums they seem to last, not a fan of champion at all, they seem to wear out quite fast, although being a chevy fan i'd have to say i prefer ac delco

NGK =really good plugs.
Stay away from Champion. They tend to short out at the insulators.
Nipondenso are pretty good too.
AC= kinda good.
ADDED:
Oh, I forgot about Bosch.....good plugs, pricey though.

I would prefer the Bosch Iridium +2 or +4

i had a ford truck once and i used auto lites.they were good plugs.
