Woula spacecraft need as much fuel to escape from the moon's gravity as it would to escape from the earth's?

(True or False) If the moon did not reflect any of the sun's light, it would not be visible from earth

It takes less fuel to escape from the moon because the moon has less gravity, thus less escape velocity. That means that you don't have to go as fast to escape the moon, thus you don't need as much fuel.

And if the moon reflected none of the sun's light, it would not be visible except durning an eclipse, or by watching this sphere of darkness move through the night obscuring the stars behind it.

1. No. The Moon's gravity is less than the Earth, so less fuel would be required.

2. False. If the moon did not reflect any of the sun's light, it would be quite visible during a lunar eclipse. You'd clearly see its outline moving across the Sun (using a filter of course).

Incidentally, betcha didn't know that the moon is actually about as dark as a lump of coal. Seems hard to believe, I know.

No... because the moon's gravitational field is much weaker than earth's you don't need as much fuel to escape the moon's gravity.

True

1. false. the moon gravty is less than earth gravity
2. true. the moon need the sun ligh rays to be visible.

1. no, because the moon's gravitational pull isnt as strong as that of the earth.
2. ALMOST true. it would probably reflect a tiny bit of light from the stars.

no, because the moons gravitational pull is less than the earths so therefore it would require less fuel

and true, the sun is what reflects the moon's light

i dont think so, because the moon doesnt have as much gravity as earth right, thats why we can walk on earth and not as much on the moon

true

not sure about the first.

but the second must be true. sun's light = moons visibility.
