Can you name a video game so frustrating that you either quit or you just never picked up again after u won?

And why do you think programmers and game testers allow for it? Is it b/c of the challenge? Are they insane? Do they just not realize how difficult some games are? Is it b/c they know you won't sue them for the damage the frustration as cost your controller or walls?

My list begins with X-men Children of the Atom

played it for 10 minutes, now it's a nifty looking coaster.

E.T. for the Atari 2600. I couldnt figure out what the heck to do. I ran, and I built the phone. And then I didnt know how to call home. It was so frustrating.
Also, Half Life 2. I mean its a great game, but it gives me motion sickness. So I play for then minutes then go barf and do it again the next day. Well, i gave up after a week.

well Final Fantasy X-2 wasn't hard but very stupid i could not handle it.

and isn't X-men Children of the atom a fighting game?
if it is i will tell u a good strategy to beat it fast with any character

James Bond from Russia with Love. It was just fo pathetic and I hated the control system it really sucked. I also thought it was worst than the rest which are usually good.

dead to rights II. it's a cool third person shooting game, and that's the only reason why i kep going back to it. other than that, i really had to take a 6-months break each time i get stuck in a level.

as for why, i can only assume they didn't test it well enough.

God of War... While fun there was many moments that just made me... Not a happy camper. Also, Gun on the hardest difficulty... Thats a pain too. Especially when they decide to run you over with horses.
