It's OK, as long as you are very careful to take all the pills. Just skip the sugar pills at the end of the pack and move right to the beginning of the next pack. But don't make a habit of it. Getting your period is good- it tells you that the pills are working.

Like a few people have already said, just go straight to your new pack of active pills and skip the placebo ones. When i was on "the shot" i never had a period for the 2 years i was on it. People think it isn't normal but my dr. said it was perfectly fine and actually an advantage to me. I am on the pill now and i think it would be fine to just go straight to your next pack of pills, it wont hurt.

It depends on the type of pill you are taking. If it is a mono-phasic pill (ie all the pills are the same) then you can do this with no problem for months at a time.
There should be instructions for what to do that come with the pills.

just replace the inert pills with the first week of your new pack and keep taking one a day like you usually do until you want to get your period.

Sounds like you're playing with your meds...I'd say a simple call to your OB/GYN or his/her nurse would quickly answer your question.
