mechanic discovered the problem which was so simple it was laughable, the temperature control knob on the dash was broken internally so was not engaging temp. switch and allowing more heat in....he said it is a common thing with 90 through 95 accords...$ 7.00 fix...i got lucky...but thanks to everybody who answered.

I would start with the Thermostat, then check the other heater hoses for blockage, replace the thermostat and the hoses, if that doesn't fix it, then you may need to replace a clogged heater core.

It's normal for the A\C to come on with the defroster on.
The A\C condenser attracts moisture in the air to improve the efficiency of the defroster.

As far as the heater not working, check your coolant level.

Could also be the coolant valve at the fire wall.

Maybe your heater core is broke. Is your front floorboard wet?
