...know the first thing about, especially in the subject area of "computers and internet"?

I'm often left scratching my head at this, as common sense would tell them that they're not helping anyone by giving nonsense or inaccurate information. Why is the whole two points reward worth sooo much to some people around here?

And would YOU answer a question you really didn't know the answer to, just to get those 2 points?

All they're after is the points, the 1st responder to this question is a perfect example

Yahoo should appoint moderators to look after the forums. These moderators can then monitor what is going on in different areas and get rid of rubbish answers. Also there are many questions that get asked over and over again. Why can't people just do a search for the questions first

Just my 2c

Personally I think people answer question for the points even if they have no idea what they are talking about or they really think they know what they are talking about. And no I wont answer a computer question if I am not sure and I try not to give bad answers for any other subject.

I hate when people do that. As far as I know there is no reward for having more points...right? I try to be as helpful (and honest) as I can and I hope others do too. Otherwise what's the point of yahoo answers if it's all just BS??

I really don't know why the 2 Pt's are such a big deal to some people. But apparently they are, because I have come across several questions that people have given the STUPIDEST answers imaginable to.
But that would be the only reason for answering a question that you don't know the answer to or just to be a smart (dumb) ***.

They are more interested in getting the quick two points instead of getting 10 points for best answer.

If I had a good guess and the question was an opinion type instead of an informative type (like this one), I would take a stab at it.

Your Dog food recipe on a resolved question blew me away. Who has time to spend an hour or more making their dog dinner. I microwave mine so why would I stir and simmer and add a pinch of garlic to his. You must have a ton of free time. Also if you want to download a file push f5 then delete and resend to mail. HA

nicely I do like answering questions when I particularly for sure have not have been given a clue..... and that i do like people who ask questions approximately why human beings worry to worry answer questions whilst they particularly for sure have not have been given a clue..... yet that's extra valuable?..... there is merely one thank you to verify..... combat!!
