Why is she/he marrying him/her when they could have had me?

Yes actually. There is this guy who I've been in love with since i was 12, and he has been in love with me as well (he told me so). We went out for a while, but we lived far away, so it didnt work out. In May in married this girl who is really fat and mean (not his type AT ALL). He told me that he is always going to love me. THEN WHY DID HE MARRY HER!
It broke my heart.... :(

No, I haven't. Not like that anyway, but I have thought that a friend that was getting married maybe should have picked a different guy & sure enough, she should have because after marriage, he was abusive which he hadn't been when they were dating.
She's since divorced, safe, and now happily remarried to someone who is very good to her, but it was a trial for her.

A person close to me told me that they were marrying someone and I told them straight to their face that I disapproved. I didn't go to the wedding because of it and now we don't talk. Is that somewhere along the lines?

I thought that when my ex-boyfriend got married. We are still best friends and I just think I would have been a better choice for him than the chick he married. Obviously, he didn't agree! LOL

no.... I usually think ... "wow, was their love that strong to take that big step... will she be faithful to him..or will he to her..... will they grow old together or be separating soon".... then I look over at my fiance and think...." is he really the one for me... what if he's not, should we still marry or no.." then I wake up when the priest announces the kiss

yes i've had that thought about engaged girls
and at some weddings i'm like "they'll never last, no way." of course i don't say that. ;)
