I am an average guitar player just about to start learning slide guitar. Does anyone have any tips, hints or know of any good guitar websites that have good stuff on slide playing or any free guitar tab sites that have Robert Johnson etc blues on them?

Any help is appreciated and I will happily give best answer a glowing report!!

THANKS!

I think I detect a question in there of why does there seem to be friction on your e and B strings? Yes, you should clean those strings if that is the case but, better yet, you might want to throw a new set on if those are pretty old because the sweat and dirt from your hands can catch up on your slide very easily. A Dios.

make sure there is plenty of space between your strings and frets to avoid hitting them when sliding, ideally get a guitar set up especially for slide and have it ready in most common open tuning.
